Enjoying His Presence

Jun 26, 2016

(30 Days Writing Challenge)
Day 9: Words of Wisdom that Speak to Me

Walk peacefully with Me through this day. You are wondering how you will cope with all that is expected of you. You must traverse this day like any other: one step at a time. Instead of mentally rehearsing how you will do this or that, keep your mind on My Presence and on taking the next step. The more demanding your day, the more help you can expect from Me. This is a training opportunity, since I designed you for deep dependence on your Shepherd-King. Challenging times wake you up and amplify your awareness of needing My help.

When you don't know what to do, wait while I open the way before you. Trust that I know what I'm doing, and be ready to follow My lead. I will give strength to you, and I will bless you with Peace.

Exodus 33:14, Deuteronomy 33:25, Hebrews 13:20-21, Psalms 29:11

Day Six: Five Ways to Win My Heart

First thing first, winning my heart is really not that hard. I'm cheap person, I know. I don't think there is particular five ways to win my heart, because really everything can win my heart. You play with dogs, you win. You don't honk when I'm parking, you win. You give me the answer for tomorrow' homework, you really-really win. You give me extra nuts on my pisang ijo, you win! But okay, I'll try to generalise the ideas and, here we go...

1. Help me. My second love language is act of service. That being said, I love a little helping hand that makes my day brighter... happier... easier. (I can't say this without sounding like a shallow individual, ikr.)

2. Watch my favourite movies/ read my favourite books/ listen to my favourite songs. Because that's how we can have a long, qualitative conversation that will lead me to like you.

3. Visionary mind won me over, every time. And I don't talk about Steve Jobs. People that have a passionate soul, plans for their future, and brave moves in all the following process are the kind of people I always adore.

4. Buy me food. Or give me $1,000,000 check.

5. Being someone in particular. You know, because some people I can just love and love no matter what simply for being themselves.

Day Five: Five Places I Want to Visit

Yay to today's challenge! I'm one day late but I have a very reasonable reason to not write yesterday, so, no I haven't abandoned the challenge, Jes. Anyway, have I ever mentioned that my challenge-pal Jesica here looks a lot like Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 4 Finalist, Sang In?

1. Peru. Please. I've been dying to go to the southern part of America all my life. Okay, maybe not all-my-life, but really for so, so long. I mean, Peru have an ancient Incan city Machu Picchu set high in the Andes mountain.

2. Croatia. This is another Game-of-Thrones happens moment in my life, but to be fair, Croatia is a beau of Eastern Europe full of medieval castles, museums, and renaissance building that surely will comfort my thirsty mind soul.

3. South Africa. Hakuna Matata.

4. Cornwall, England. This is a place I think came straight from paintings on our wall (FYI, Alfred Munnings actually painted a lot here). The sandy beaches, the cliff, and so much picturesque village; I want to go there, no--I want to live there.

5. Saint Helena. Saint Helena is an island in the South Atlantic Ocean, in which Napoleon Bonaparte was exiled and died years ago. Because it's pretty remote, people said Saint Helena hasn't really changed since the Emperor's exile. And I should really go there, because, you know, Napoleon.

Day Three: Top 3 Pet Peeves

Jun 19, 2016

Okay, 30 Days Writing Challenge's theme today is... (drumroll) Top 3 Pet Peeves! Yes, I get annoyed over so many things but sometimes it really just my face. I get judged a lot because my natural resting bitch face, in which, happens to be appropriate to use in this post. Despite that some of my top lists are already used in Jesica's post today, this is what I finally come out! (I really should write first tomorrow.)

1. "My favourite celebrity is better than your favourite celebrity." Really? Is that even a competition? What's wrong with me liking Taylor Swift that does have a lot of exes, eyeliner-ed Korean guy, and not the hotter older brother but Liam Hemsworth? I mean, they don't even know we exist; should we really argue about that?

2. When someone can't grasp in agree-to-disagree concept. You can't really insist your point of view into someone else's radar, and get flustered because they don't think like you do. Also, calling people close minded when they don't have the same thought as yours is a prove that you are close minded. People disagree, just agree with it.

3. Hypocrite. Everyone's number one annoying person. Do they have to pretend everything? Do they even have a true personality? What goods actually come from doing so? Sometime I do wonder what the world would be like for them.

(Just the best occasion to use of this face, finally)

Day Two: Something Someone Say About Me That I Never Forget

Jun 18, 2016

Something Someone Say About Me That I Never Forget

All I can think of is... one, back in my primary school day. As I was playing with my nose, pushing it and doing unreasonable things, one of my classmate went saying "Your nose will turn pesek if you continue like that!" Uh-oh. Okay. Then she was adding, "Oh, but yours is already pesek."

As stupid as it sounded... it did affect me a lot back then. Whenever I got the chance, I started to pull my nose hoping it will turn sharper like that. These days, people say that my nose is pretty sharp. I always wonder if all the pulling actually works...

I'm so sorry this is just ridiculous.
(Jes, yours is great.)

Day One: 10 Things That Make Me Really Happy

Jun 17, 2016

I always want to do a writing challenge for a long-long time, and now I am being all excited to actually starting it for real with Jesica from the other side here! Let's hope the magic works out, and we actually finish what we started!

/ 10 Things That Make Me Really Happy

1. The smell of a new book

2. Long night talk that matters. Talking makes me happy. I love sharing everything and laughing over nothing, plus complaining all night about why LINE free-call connection is always unstable.

3. Having nothing to do for the rest of the day! I know this might be frustrating for some people, and I certainly will be frustrated if it happens every days for the rest of my life, but right now, yay to movie marathon and YouTube all day!

4. Saying something that wasn't intended to be funny, but it is anyway.

5. Kikki K! Journals make me happy, and Kikki K is forever my ultimate brand crush. I can browse around their store for hours and still have something to be excited about.

6. Cute golden retriever puppy, running in the beach. (Preferably with David Beckham look alike walking them.)

7. Looking magically thinner in that one photo.

8. Being someone's number one priority. Whenever, whatever, however; that one person that would wonder about your stupid actions for the hundredth time, but stay anyway.

9. Completing a day without any major awkward situation. Which, is such a grande achievement for someone like me. Well. It usually involves me, not wanting to be shipped to the other side of the world as soon as I stopped talking.

10. And literally, seeing your favourite person come home.

Thank you for reading mine!
