Story building wise, everyone is basically meeting everyone. There are a lot of reunions. The surprise is, finally, not so surprising anymore because we have been so deep in fan-theories. There are episodes that I actually didn't enjoy, but Episode 04: The Spoils of War is officially my ultimate favorite. Oh I hope it is the finale.
Those who want to proceed, please be noted that I will discuss about basically everything so you might want to close the tab should you haven't watched the entire season (or the entire series)! It means SPOILER ALERT, on capslock and bold, ok?
---
Rather than their incestuous relationship, I personally think Dany would be crazier over the fact that Jon is the one true heir of The Targaryens. The family has history of marrying their brother and sister, after all. The power crisis can be one thing that'd break the relationship, but more importantly, the alliance between the dragon and the wolf. Surely, we have to wait another year.
Oh by the way, Jon, you got her at "My queen."
The Lannisters, as estranged as ever. There are a lot of dynamic between the three Lannisters that matter in the season seven. Without further discussing how mad king crazy Cersei has became, because that we have already known for sure, there is something really fishy in that last scene Cersei and Tyrion share. She didn't kill him instantly, for the start and if that's not fishy I don't know what is. Tyrion is actually looking very troubled in the ending, and oh that got me troubled. Could he sense Cersei's betrayal, or could he possibly question his own loyalty in the game? He might hate Tywin and Cersei, and it's only natural to hate Joffrey, but for all we know he loves the other member of the family. He is a Lannister, after all, and he knows the fate of Cersei's baby were the throne is taken.
Anyway, more than Jon and Daenerys hooking up, I have to say that Jaime being alive is the biggest fan service this year. He won't survive that fire and lake in the previous seasons, Game of Thrones standard--not that I'm complaining. I sense that we can see even more heroic side of him next season, immediately after he is done with Cersei once and for all. Sometimes, I can't picture him throwing Bran off the tower anymore.
What's Left of The Starks, back in Winterfell. All of them have suffered equal horrifying fate out there you can't really judge their issues. Frankly after all those things, it'd surprise me were Sansa & Arya didn't know better of Littlefinger's scheme. It is a well-deserved death, travelling back onto those early days when he poisoned Jon Arryn in the first place. Gore, though.
Speaking about the lone wolf that dies and the pack that survives, so glad Sansa and Arya can finally tone down their sister rivalry; one that happened when they were only kids, anyway. I can't believe there comes a moment for us to say this but, The Starks are pretty lucky. I mean, look how kids their generation survive the age: Jeoffrey, Tommen, Myrcella, and even Shireen Baratheon; Margaery and Loras Tyrell; that freaking Ramsay Bolton; Trystane Martell and his sand snake sisters... all dead, dead, dead. But here are The Starks with 50% survival level, rejoice!
Not So Rejoiced Beyond The Wall, Though. Things are going so bad for the livings, thanks to Ice Viserion. I would like to express my deepest grief, but let's save that for later. Theories I read, there are spoken magic involving in the wall making centuries ago, creating a certain barrier for the White Walkers from entering. I guess there are equal magic power now with Viserion on the other side, thus making the wall vulnerable. It is for the worst, but what can we say; this penultimate battle is bound to happen sooner or later so let's be prepared, because next season we'll definitely see many casualties. I can't quite picture the strategy to defeat that kind of army, but the showrunner would know that making them winning is not a choice, even though it's the same people that chopped Ned Stark's head seven years ago.

Finally, Tribute. Surprisingly though, we don't see a lot of important deaths this season. I know we got through Petyr Baelish, Olenna Tyrell, Ellaria Sand, and her girls, but honestly? We are sadder with the fact that Dany is losing her allies rather than the lost itself, and we are just glad Littlefinger is off the game. The most devastating moment all season long is, really, definitely when that spear got thrown onto Viserion and made him fall. My heart sank, literally, and I haven't moved on. Not that we are note expecting this; fans have speculated about it ever since forever, but I still left in awe when it actually happened. Why, just why?
Viserion is heartbreaking, but you know what's also heartbreaking? Rumor has it that the showrunners are considering two years producing time. We are dying to see how this epic story would end, and I have come terms with one year but two? I know it would mean better quality, but oh we are completely satisfied with Game of Thrones' quality so far. Let's keep our fingers crossed and wait for the good news! Meanwhile, you can check the other television series I enjoy too here!
x, Michelle.
